[R] Chasing after the Windows/Xemacs/R1.6.1 graphics device bug
''Just upgraded to R1.6.1 and started enjoying the Windows/Xemacs/R1.6.1 graphics device bug reported by several people in November. Here is my observation: Running R1.6.1 under Xemacs on Windows2000(Sp2) without graphics devices or other pop-up things is OK. If a graphics device such as windows is opened, used, then closed, q() hangs even if no workspace save is requested. Kill Rterm.exe via task manager is needed. This didn''t happen under R1.4.1 (which I used before). This does not happen if another graphics related device such as win.metafile is used. Is there any progress on understanding this problem? Is there hope for improvement? platform i386-pc-mingw32 arch i386 os mingw32 system i386, mingw32 status major 1 minor 6.1 year 2002 month 11 day 01 language R Christian Ritter Functional Specialist Statistics Shell Coordination Centre S.A.
