We have put in all the hooks to enable you to use R as the engine, and
Thomas Baier has a DCOM interface to R (see the CRAN contributed section).
Erich Neuwirth has an Excel interface that uses that, which I guess he
will release fairly soon. I have written a specific menu-based Visual
Basic application for one task.
But, if you want a menu-driven statistical system like SPSS or S-PLUS for
Windows, we have no plans to develop something like those in the
foreseeable future. As R is a collaborative project, you are welcome to
build one and contribute it.

`works' is a bit of an over-statement, I think. data.entry() is not in the
current Windows version (you could have looked to see), but expect
something to be there before version 1.0. I don't really see the need for
this myself: I do the data entry/editing in my favourite tool, save to a
text file and import into R.
