[Rails] lighty + ssl??

> ./configure --with-openssl && sudo make install
enabled:
...
  network-openssl
...
disabled:
...
> which openssl/usr/bin/openssl

I get the following message from my lighty install:> SSL: ssl requested but openssl support is not compiled in
What am I doing wrong?
