Hi, I was wondering if there was a precompiled version of Xen for x86 around somewhere? I noticed all the downloads on the Xen.org site are source files only. Do precompiled binaries exist anywhere? Thanks, Eric _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Generally it''s easier to use those, but they may only have older version of Xen (e.g Centos has Xen 3.1+). There''s also http://www.gitco.de/repo/ which contains latest Xen binaries for Centos. -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Latest SRPM from gitco is at 3.4.0, I think. Or ask Sascha Günther to provide i386 binaries. -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
Actually, they have an i386 version of Xen 3.3.1 which is still a lot better than 3.0.4 that comes as standard with RHEL5.4. If you absolutely need the latest version, I''d recommend either get a 64 processor or compile it yourself! On Wed, Oct 7, 2009 at 6:50 AM, Roy <onion@garlic.com> wrote:> Fajar A. I use the 32 bit version with success. However you are stuck at the kernel level that it was compiled for and won''t be able to apply maintenance. I''ve used it on several different RHEL 5 kernel versions, the latest being 2.6.18-164.el5xen without any problems.
