Rails - Mar 2006 - Rails 1.1 is coming--when and what remains to be done?

And  Feb 2006 was mentioned in the release announcement for 1.0 back in 
Dec 2005.

Is there a new time estimate or list of what remains to be done before 
1.1 is released?

Also, will there be any release candidate gems or will people be 
encouraged to use edge rails?
