Rails - Apr 2006 - Simple Rails Questions

Hi, I have a couple of questions in regards to editing new.rhtml.

1)  How to change one of the text field to a dropdownlist that contains
"friend" and "family"?

2)  How to expand year range from 1900 to the current year?
