Rails - Apr 2006 - sortable_element not updateing more than once in a page load

I''m using a sortable_element in my app. I drag an element to
re-position
it and it works only one time. When i try to do it more than once it 
will not work. I have to refresh the page to be able to do it again.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
