A make-kpkg under debian doesn''t seem to give me an initrd... I''m using the 2.0.4-4 pre-released kernel patch. Also look at mkinitrd(8) if you want to tweak the initrd that gets created. ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users. Have you actually built a xen kernel from the 2.0.4-4 package under debian with an initrd or are you just assuming I haven''t specified the option? I probably should have supplied this in the first instance... here''s the commands I''m using to build the kernel: export INITRD_OK=1 make-kpkg --initrd --arch xen --append_to_version -xen0 kernel_image I''ve made an initrd myself with mkinitrd and that''s fine, I just thought someone might like to know that it doesn''t seem to go by default. thanks James> -----Original Message----- > From: Mark Horn [mailto:mark@hornclan.com] > Sent: Sunday, 20 February 2005 00:58 > To: James Harper > Cc: xen-devel@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [Xen-devel] debian build okay but no initrd > > On Sat, Feb 19, 2005 at 09:31:08PM +1100, James Harper wrote: > > A make-kpkg under debian doesn''t seem to give me an initrd... There was also talk about some refactoring - but in any case, that is a bug to be fixed, somehow. Someone should write a patch... -- Naked ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
