zfs discuss - Aug 2009 - SMBS share disappears daily

Hi there,

I have a raid-z(1) data pool with "smb=name=data" (4x750GB local SATA
II), which I open up for my Windows machines to dump files into.

Trouble is, the SMB share would disappear from the network at least
once a day, and when it happens, I have to reboot OpenSolaris
(2009.06) in order to make it available again. Restarting the SMB
server service without rebooting does not resolve the issue.

Is this a known issue, or have I missed something obvious?

Known issue.  Upgrading to b117/118 from the /dev repository fixed
this for me, give it a shot.

Hi there,

I have just upgraded to b118 - except that the mouse is now unable to
select / focus on any other windows except the ones that the desktop
randomly decided to give the focus to.

So I guess I have a bigger problem than just SMB not working here...
