AW: RE: [Xen-users] xenified 2.6.32 kernel and cciss
...yes, me too. We use Xen i.e. on HP / COMPAQ Smart Arrays p200/400(i) a.o. (HP proliant, blades etc.) since linux kernel 2.6.18 and xen 3.0-3.4.2 without any problem. It works performant and reliable for us. Because we usually won''t use initrds we just activated cciss and scsi compiled in kernel (i assume it would work with modules and initrd too). If you need further help, pls post here. Cheers, Niels. --- http://www.syndicat.com _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

I''m beginning to think it''s a serious upstream bug as I''ve just tried F12 2.6.32.11-99.fc12.x86_64 normal (non-xen) kernel (which has sd_mod built-in) and it experince the same symptoms. -- Fajar _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

With <2.6.31-r11 i had problems under higher load - the machine freezed after a while when guests had higher network load.> I''m beginning to think it''s a serious upstream bug as I''ve just tried > F12 2.6.32.11-99.fc12.x86_64 normal (non-xen) kernel (which has sd_mod > built-in) and it experince the same symptoms. We have several 2.6.31-gentoo-r6 (non xen) amd64 kernels on AMD and Intel Xeons without issues too - except initial problems with UDEV compatibility. If so, what about trying 2.6.31-r10/11 xen? mbth best regards, Niels. -- --- Niels Dettenbach --- Syndicat IT&Internet http://www.syndicat.com T.-Muentzer.-Str. 2, 37308 Heilbad Heiligenstadt - DE --- Kryptoinfo: PGP public key ID 651CA20D Fingerprint: 55E0 4DCD B04C 4A49 1586 88AE 54DC 4465 651C A20D https://syndicat.com/pub_key.asc --- _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
