The only issue you may run into with the 860 is a lack of VT support for the processors. You''ll have to check - some of Dell''s 8th generation servers did come with VT technology on the MBs and processors, but most of them did not - they quickly moved into the 9th generation as VT progressed. If the 860 does have VT support, you should be fine; if not, you won''t be able to run HVM domUs. -Nick>>> On 2010/06/25 at 08:52, "Jonathan Tripathy" <jonnyt@abpni.co.uk> wrote: > Hi Everyone, > > Just wanted to know if anybody has used Xen on a Dell Poweredge 860 Server? > > What are your experiences? They are still in the post btw Thanks ________________________________ From: Nick Couchman [mailto:Nick.Couchman@seakr.com] Sent: Fri 25/06/2010 16:33 To: Jonathan Tripathy; Xen-users@lists.xensource.com Subject: Re: [Xen-users] Dell Poweredge 860 The only issue you may run into with the 860 is a lack of VT support for the processors.
