My setup is a compiled 3.4 xen with 2.6.18-8 kernel on an etch box. Now i want to update the os to lenny und install with apt-get xen 3.1 with 2.6.26 Kernel. On the etch box there are 2 domus. First i make a backup. Can i just deinstall xen with the uninstall script then update to lenny and the install xen with apt-get. So i want do start the domus later again on lenny. They are on lvm. I know the dbian site with the hints for lenny kernel und etch/lenny domus. You might be lucky and not have them but it''s not for sure. About your issue not sure, till now I have only used packages and encountered problems on the production machine while on the tesing machine it worked perfectly. I run lenny with 3.1 without problems till now. But my main problem ist if i can uninstall xen with existing domu on another lvm partition und the install xen via paket manager from debian. greets Holm _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

The fact that DomUs are configured in other LVM volumes doesn''t matter as long as you don''t do anything with them. -- Simon Hobson Visit http://www.magpiesnestpublishing.co.uk/ for books by acclaimed author Gladys Hobson.
