Xen users - Aug 2009 - how reache the network since a virtual machine?

hy everybody
please how can i assign an IP address for a domU in XEN in order to ping or
reach the network?

In EXACTLY the same way you would do if it was a ''real''
machine
running on it''s own box. If you''d use static configs for real
boxes
then do that for your virtual boxes, if you''d use DHCP then configure 
a DHCP client on the virtual boxes.

As far as the guests are concerned, the networking is no different to 
being a standalone real box plugged into the relevant network switch.
