Hi all, Recently I installed Xen 3.2 with HVM support on my QuadCore host. I installed a Debian Etch guest domU, but I can''t get it shutdown or reboot properly. When y execute ''reboot'' or ''halt'' from the domU, it hangs or something, because xm info shows state ''s'' for ever. I''ve got this three on muy configuration: on_poweroff = ''destroy'' on_reboot = ''restart'' on_crash = ''restart'' I''ve tried disabling ACPI and APIC on the domU but it doesnt work, and the logs don''t give me any info... Any help would be appreciated. If so, why not using para-virt?> When y execute ''reboot'' or ''halt'' from the domU, it hangs or > something, because xm info shows state ''s'' for ever. When exactly does it hang? In order to reboot the guest I have to xm destoy and create it again... is there a way to get these commands (halt and reboot) to work? Re: [Xen-users] Shutdown/reboot problem with Xen 3.2 HVM
I''ve some updates: I installed the Debian xen kernel 2.6.18-6-xen-686 and now it works, I''m able to shutdown and reboot the HVM machine successfully... BUT now, only ONE core is detected... I recompiled a 2.6.18 kernel from Xen mercurial, using .config file from debian package and doing some little adjustments, and now I''ve got the 4 cores, but the shutdown/reboot problem appeared again... Any ideas? Thanks in advance. regards.

SOLVED. I forgot to change the number of CPUs assigned to the dom0...
