Xen users - Jan 2008 - Terminal size problem

Hi,

when working over console ...(putty, on server, or via xen console) I 
have problems with console not being properly detected. It''s only using
upper third. And when I do ls -alh ..it scrolls in upper third also. 
Does anyone know what could be the problem?
