In the current Xen-unstable builds, on all machines with a PATA drive (I'' haven''t tried a system with a standard IDE drive), My boot gets to the point with: lp0: using parport0 Successfully initialized TPM backend driver This has passed the: EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode line, but before the EXT3-fs on sda1, internal journal. On my other system, I get a lot of errors about: Read of scrambled sector without authentication I''ve built a LOT of xen kernels over the last 2-3 years, and I haven''t seen this particular problem before... Can it be something with picking the wrong hd driver? It should be coming up as sda, not hda, on both systems. It almost sounds like I dont'' have the right drivers, but as you can see in the attached config, nearly everything is included. The systems are, in order, an Optiplex 745 and a Precision 380, so this isn''t strange hardware. I tried the kernels both under Ubuntu Gutsy and Feisty (feisty used to work just fine with the typical make world, make install, mkinitramfs -o /boot/xen-initrd.img 2.6.18-xen). Is this something that people have seen before? More information necessary? See the attached config file... _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Any ideas what might have happened in the unstable series over the last 2-3 weeks? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

[Xen-users] Does the latest Xen-3.1 include IA64 support?
Hi! I''m experimenting with the xen-unstable (3.0 based) tree from xenbits.xensource.com that includes the IA64 support. Is that the latest stuff that supports Itanium? Thanks for any replies. ---Kayvan _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

The main xensource trees should work, but if you want the very latest code, use the ia64 dev trees: http://xenbits.xensource.com/ext/ia64/xen-unstable.hg http://xenbits.xensource.com/ext/ia64/linux-2.6.18-xen.hg Thanks, Alex -- Alex Williamson HP Open Source & Linux Org. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
