Hi there have been posts on this lists mentioning problems with Xen and DRBD in earlier xen Versions. How is this today with Xen 3.1 I am thinking about the following setup: Server 1: xen3.1 dom0 runs drbd primary domU has drbd resource0 (drbd0) as disk: disk = [ ''phy:/dev/drbd0,hda1,w'' ] Server 2 (same hardware as Server 1): xen3.1 dom0 runs drbd secondary domU can be started manually by making it drbd primary if Server 1 has a problem drbd should run over a dedicated (crossover cable) GE network. Any thoughts or experience? Regards Dominik _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

If both sides have gigabit ports, they will detect it on their own, what kind of connection they have. Besides the normal crossover cables will only cross the lines necessary for 10/100 MBit but no the others. They are completly useless in a GE network. Shade and sweet water! Both have GE nics and detect correctly. Regards Dominik _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
I use drbd with xen and heartbeat and no problem at all. Regards Yves Dominik Klein a écrit :>> I cant say anything about your questions, but *dont* use crossover >> cable for gigabit networks. Then use a 4 switched pairs cross-over cable. Ups, this IS getting a little off-topic. Sorry.
