Hello all, I have a server with Xen and 6 network interfaces on the HP proliant DL385. On this server, 2 network card is " Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5704 Gigabit Ethernet" and 1 "Intel Corporation 82546GB PRO/1000 GT Quad Port Server Adapter" with 4 network interfaces. I configurated 6 bridges: # cat /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp | grep network-script (network-script custom-network-bridge) # cat /etc/xen/scripts/custom-network-bridge #!/bin/sh XENDIR="/etc/xen/scripts" $XENDIR/network-bridge-0 "$@" $XENDIR/network-bridge-1 "$@" $XENDIR/network-bridge-2 "$@" $XENDIR/network-bridge-3 "$@" $XENDIR/network-bridge-4 "$@" $XENDIR/network-bridge-5 "$@" # ifconfig | grep xenbr xenbr0 Encapsulamento do Link: Ethernet Endereço de HW FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF xenbr1 Encapsulamento do Link: Ethernet Endereço de HW FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF xenbr2 Encapsulamento do Link: Ethernet Endereço de HW FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF xenbr3 Encapsulamento do Link: Ethernet Endereço de HW FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF xenbr4 Encapsulamento do Link: Ethernet Endereço de HW FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF xenbr5 Encapsulamento do Link: Ethernet Endereço de HW FE:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF ###############END Command On my DomU not detected the lasts network interfaces of the Intel Quad network card: # cat /etc/xen/auto/vm-1 kernel = ''/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.16-2-xen-vserver-amd64-k8'' ramdisk = ''/boot/initrd.img-2.6.16-2-xen-vserver-amd64-k8'' name = "vm-1" vcpus = "2" disk = [ ''phy:cb/disk-vm-1,sda1,w'', \ ''phy:cb/swap-vm-1,sda2,w'' ] root = "/dev/sda1 ro" on_reboot = ''restart'' on_crash = ''restart'' on_poweroff = ''destroy'' vif = [ ''mac=00:16:3E:71:BF:55, bridge=xenbr0'', \ ''mac=00:16:3E:71:BF:01, bridge=xenbr1'', \ ''mac=00:16:3E:71:BF:02, bridge=xenbr2'', \ ''mac=00:16:3E:71:BF:03, bridge=xenbr3'', \ ''mac=00:16:3E:71:BF:04, bridge=xenbr4'', \ ''mac=00:16:3E:71:BF:05, bridge=xenbr5''] memory = 512 ############ END Conf File ############ Init process boot of the DomU Configuring network interfaces...SIOCSIFADDR: No such device eth3: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device eth3: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device Failed to bring up eth3. [Xen-users] Re: Problem with Intel network card quad
I search a old post in mail-list: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2006-05/msg00024.html Exist a max number of VIFs per DomU. This problem was solved in unstable release?
