Xen users - Jul 2006 - SLES 10 and Xen

Hi everybody,

 

I was just wondering if anybody else has had any experience with SuSE Linux
Enterprise Server 10 and it''s built in Xen support. When I boot to the
Xen Kernel the system will frequently lock up under any type of load. It locks
while installing a Guest OS (Fully Virtualized) or just when running IO to a
card without any guests running. It is just me, or has anybody else seen this?
I''ve tried it on a few systems, running Core2 Duo procs, so running
fully virtualized. Or is SLES 10''s Xen support just unstable?

I have experienced a couple of lock ups when doing live migration, but
not just from load. My setup is two IBM x336 and an IBM DS300 iSCSI box.
Because the servers don''t have VT only paravirtualization is used.

Hi

I used SLES10 in my Core Duo/ASUS N4L-VM DH mainboard PC.
VT is perfect. Windows XP could be installed from CD using YaST VM 
Management. No need of creating an image file nor configuration manually.
