Hello, After a bit of effort, I would like to report that I am successfully booting a WinXP guest on an intel mac-mini. This Intel mac is running Ubuntu Dapper and 3.0-testing as dom0. I made a brief write-up and posted it at http://www.scl.ameslab.gov/Projects/mini-xen/. This should cover most of what I had to do to get everything working. I''m now going to try and track down why my custom kernel works but the default initrd kernel doesn''t. I''m guessing something is getting loaded that shouldn''t. I hope this helps anyone who is having troubles on their intel macs. -Mark _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Can we run OSX as a guest user on a intel Mac with VT ? Hi there, did you do anything special to get both CPU cores to work? On my MacBook Pro I always get a "(XEN) CPU #1 not responding - cannot use it." error message and the kernel doesn''t boot if I don''t use the "nosmp" option. Thanks, Michael _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
It just worked on the mini, but I haven''t tested it on my macbook pro yet. I''ll try it next week and modify the write-up if I figure it out. -Mark On Jun 10, 2006, at 6:17 AM, Michael Heyse wrote:> Hi there, > > did you do anything special to get both CPU cores to work? Or in Dom0 somehow, since MacOS (BSD) is a microkernel architecture. Please anyone having that working please report. That would superseed Bootcamp in any way.
