Xen users - Apr 2006 - xen3.0.2 on sarge: domU non created

Hi all,

  I have succesfully built and installed xen and dom0 on my poweredge 2850
but when I try to create a domU on an ext3 partition over lvm (I can mount it 
from dom0) it fails

anybody can help me plz ???

How does your xend-debug.log look like?
Is your lvm partition for domU still mounted in dom0?

yes *and* no .. I have tried both ..

I have configured a my own dom0 ... maybe I''m missing some required
config
option??  btw, both kernels are monolithic

if I uncomment the vif=''''  line I have the same problem

mi01:/usr/src/xen-3.0.2# xm create testVM
Using config file "/etc/xen/testVM".
Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working.


so I think the problem is not related with lvm or block device access, it seem 
to be hotplug .. but Hot to solve?

What do you mean? You "played around" with your xend config? or with
the
dom0 kernel config?

If so, does it work if you use a default xend and/or kernel config?

Maybe you can post your xend, domU and kernel config, also. 
I am not sure if I can help, but maybe someone else can help more with this
information.

does your system use udev? if so make sure the udev rules file is in place,
at the proper order. (on ubuntu: anything below 99 is important, and 99 is
udev monitor, on debian anything before z should work IIRC).

I solved yesterday just updating to udev/testing and running make install-udev 
under tools/exaple dir
