Xen users - Feb 2006 - 1000HZ Question

Now an interesting question came up after speaking with Bart on the
CS:Source problem.  When the guest os needs a 1000hz clock is the host
required to also have this.

I would think it does, but I''m not 100% sure after thinking that maybe
the hypervisor would be able to handle it.

In Xen, there''s really no distinction between "guest" and
"host" OS --
no OS is "hosting" another OS. All OSes are "domains" and
one of them
is slightly special "Domain-0".

So yes, you need to have the Xen hypervisor running at 1000HZ for any
of the domains to run at 1000HZ.
