dovecot - Mar 2007 - logging of socket authentication

I finally and happly discarded Postfix Cyrus SASL authentication and 
replaced it with Dovecot socket listen {client{}}

Am I missing something, or Dovecot does not log the authentication events?

If you have auth_verbose=yes it does log them. If you're still not  
seeing them, it's probably a permission problem. See logging in  
http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA
