admin interdace& binding
Hi to all,
I'm happly running icecast 2.1.0. In order to improve security I want the server
to deliver the administration pages on an ip or a port different from the one
it's using to answer client requests.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance
MM

logging of socket authentication
I finally and happly discarded Postfix Cyrus SASL authentication and
replaced it with Dovecot socket listen {client{}}
Am I missing something, or Dovecot does not log the authentication events?
Ciao,

Can I install debs over packages installed via R?
...unpackage code, or things I install directly from SVN, or ...
6) On Ubuntu, I tend to rely on install.packages() and R CMD INSTALL and the
packages go into /usr/local/lib/R/site-library. I do not use cran2deb on
Ubuntu.
Other folks may have other recommendations. Liviu seems to live happly with
cran2deb on Ubuntu. You can try it but ... buy beware.
Hope this helps, Dirk

Debian Package Installation
Hi:
I've successfully installed Xapian under Ubuntu Linux using APT but when I
tried it on an older Debian machine I got a broken package error:

# apt-get install libxapian8

new package 'bit64' - 1000x faster than 'int64' sponsored by Google
...her packages, I'd appreciate serious beta-testing and also
code-review, ideally from the R-Core team. Please check the
'Limitations' sections at the help page and the numerics involving "long
double" in C. If the conclusion is that this should be better done in
Base R - I happly donate the code and drop this package. If we have to
go with an external package for 64bit integers, it would be great if
this work could convince the Rcpp team including Romain about the
advantages of this approach. Shouldn't we join forces here?

404 Stream not found
hi there,
I got a little problem.
I have a working icecast server and untill now i only used to have 1
stream at the time. But now i want to add a second stream.
In the icecast logs i see it connect okay, and ices happly streams but
when i try to connect to the second stream i only hear the first stream.
I looked into the config file and changed "mount_fallback" into zero,
but now i get a 404 for both streams.
I use ices 0.2.3 and icecast 1.3.12-rc1 on a gentoo linux system
i use this to stream
