Hi all, I've a problem by installing M$ Office2000 on the lates version (20030709) of Wine. When I run setup.exe all seem to work until the installation scroll bar opens. At this time the process hangs and the installation does not proceed. This happens both without windows installed than with a native Win2000 installation. I've a Mandrake 9.1. Any ideas? Any suggestions of how to trace the problem? The only message I catched amongs "fixme" ones is: Could not load 'MSACNV30.DLL' required by 'DSHELL', error=2 Davide
Ok, can the people who provided the screenshots for Lotus Notes and Flash MX please send me an email regarding their installation of Wine. I would really like to get them to work because my company is willing to try it out... I installed version wine-20030709-1rh8winehq.i686.rpm and when I try to wine installers.exe, it never gets past the first few seconds of the install shield... Any help would be appreciated...
look if this file is installed, the error 2 means this file hasnt been found. a quick search on internet gives the URL http://gamescheatscodes.com/dllkm/MSACNV30.DLL> Any ideas? Best trick I have is to uncomment the "Desktop" line during install and configuration. Once that is done you can put the comment back in. I have installed Notes on Wine probably 20 times and that almost always makes it work. Same for Acrobat Reader as well. Kevin, Thanks for the reply... When you say the "Desktop" line, are you referring to the wine.conf file? If so, I see a few of them, mostly related to display... ; Use a desktop window of 640x480 for Wine ;"Desktop" = "640x480" and there is also "DesktopDoubleBuffered" = "N" which is not commented out... When you installed, from where did you install? I copied the w32n_allclient.exe file onto a cd and am using wine w32n_allclient.exe to install. It does start the installer, but it hangs...and freezes... On Mon, 2003-07-14 at 10:21, Kevin DeKorte wrote:> Best trick I have is to uncomment the "Desktop" line during install and > configuration. J. Correct. The "Desktop" = "640x480" is the line I uncommented. Usually I install from my home directory and I install to a no-windows install of wine. Also if you have not used wine. Make sure you use the wineinstall script to get the basics working first. notepad and winefile should work prior to installing notes. oh, I have only installed notes 5. If you are installing others no guarantees.
