However, even if those who enabled the gateway feel that it is so important, at least turn off reject messages to posts from the mailing list. I don't use the forum, and I don't care what has been rejected or accepted. This is no better than challenge-response email filters that spam some mailing lists with each post. Get rid of the reject messages. Dotan Cohen http://what-is-what.com http://gibberish.co.il ?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-?-? Imagine there is no reject message, then someone posting to the thread will spam everyone else about why his post didn't show up in the ML or the forum. -- James Hawkins
You can unsubscribe from that mailing list you know....

Okay, I have disabled the reject messages from the mailing list. What does this mean? If you reply to a forum locked thread via the mailing list from this point on, it will still be sent to the mailing list, but it will be silently dropped from the Forum gateway. I know this will fragment the two a bit, but it will at least not annoy our subscribers. Forum Moderators: please be aware of this. If you are going to lock a thread, please write a message so the mailing list subscribers are aware of it.
