[Samba] Variable substitution for profile paths in ADUC
Hi, I'm in the process of migrating from a Samba 3.4 NT4 Domain to a a Samba 4.1.6 AD domain. The profile paths (logon path) in the old domain were specified using the %U, %m and %a variable substitutions. In fact, there was one profile per user and per client machine. I would like to migrate all profiles. Is it possible to use similar substitutions for the profile path setting in ADUC? Using Windows variables like %USERNAME% and %COMPUTERNAME% seems to result in a static profile path entry for each user. Best regards Andreas

Using Windows > variables like %USERNAME% and %COMPUTERNAME% seems to result in a > static profile path entry for each user.- Open ADUC - select all user accounts you want to change - Right-click / properties - fill the Profile path field with the UNC path to the profile. Instead of the username use %username%. It is replaced automatically with the username of each account you have selected. Regards, Marc
