Impact Dialing is looking for a Rails developer to help build its Twilio-based web application. Impact Dialing provides calling software as a service. We offer both predictive dialing (helping people who make lots of phone calls more efficient) and robocalls (playing pre-recorded messages to people who answer the phone). We work primarily with political clients and are moving into the commercial space as well. You don''t need to have built this kind of software before to apply. Right now, our staff consists of Brian, our developer whose day job is with Twilio, and Michael, our everything-else-er (that''s me!). We''re fun and hard-working, and excited about shaking up the call center and political phones world. We work from home, but if you live in the Bay, you''ll very often meet with Michael in a coffee shop. The ideal candidate is: a Rails developer; experienced with the Twilio API; living in the Bay Area; available full-time; interested in taking a stake in the company (in other words, a lower salary now but a higher payoff when we hit it big :). But at the very least, you should: have experience building web apps on Rails; be an amazing communicator if you don''t live in the Bay (or San Diego, where Brian lives); be able to work at least 20 hours per week.
