Announcing Rails application for distributed Social Networking.
Hi, I''ve been writing a set of standards and its reference implementation in Rails about distributed social networking. I hope that publishing a post in this group might help in spreading the word at initial stage. I''ll keep it short. This project is basically about making a social network which is decentralised and does not depend on a central server. URIs are used as unique identities and identify people on the network. I have named the project "Kopal" and the project homepage is http://code.google.com/p/kopal/ Description of protocol can be found at following wiki pages - http://code.google.com/p/kopal/wiki/Kopal_Connect http://code.google.com/p/kopal/wiki/Kopal_Feed This project is very new (and the idea too, I hope), and I am looking for issues, bugs, feature requests, ideas. Please report it if you have one at http://code.google.com/p/kopal/issues/list This is an open standard. - thanks
