Rails - Nov 2008 - New Version of IBM_DB Rails Adapter/Driver for IBM DataServers now available

Hi All,

New version of IBM_DB (1.0.0) is now available. To download visit the
site http://rubyforge.org/projects/rubyibm/. This release of ibm_db
provides support for secure connections using SSL feature of DB2 in
the Adapter, to use this feature you will require client version
v95fp2 and above. This release contains fix for the bug [#22430]
( Charcter types ignore limit) along with the support for the feature
request [#22560] Automatic transactions for migrations in Rails
2.2RC1 . Please check the change log for more details on other changes
that is been made.

Follow the below links to download the free version of DB2 (DB2
Express-C)and the ibm_db gem.
Download DB2 Express C from http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/db2/express/
Download the IBM_DB gem from http://rubyforge.org/projects/rubyibm/

Hi Pratik,

Firstly, sorry for the delayed response. I some how missed on this
reply.

Coming to the issue, that you have pointed out, yes this feature is
taken up as one of the priority issues. As said on the forum we will,
going forward, have this supported in ibm_db adapter.
