Google for "chain code analysis". However, this is not a Rails
question, and any
library you find will probably have some hook you can call, such as from
system("").
Ruby itself is too slow of a language to do high-end number crunching.
Further, microscope views are fuzzy and low-contrast, so raw chain codes might
not work!
