This would require to set at least read access to the app directory (or create an alias to it, anyway don''t allow people to read the app dir, since it contains your code) Plain html goes in the public folder, preferably a subfolder like /docs link_to("load", "/docs/myfile.html") But that''s exceptional, normaly you''ll html.erb files and serve them from your controller/action with the render command> when deploy a project, where the mysql database will be put on the > server?when i develop my project,my database was in the > C:\InstantRails\mysql\data directory.Whereever you want, the thing must not be on the same server. It''ll run on any machine and you''ll tell Rails how to access it in the configfile database.yml -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Can you help me to resolve that? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Any .html files you put in public/ are static only and not a part of the Rails stack (aka no Erb). If you have an example we can work with, we can try to figure out a solution for ya.
