Ruby on Rails Developer Opportunity - Melbourne - Permanent - Excellent Career Path
Permanent Rails Developer in Melbourne This is a rare opportunity for a skilled and ambitious Ruby on Rails developer to join a rapidly growing national consulting firm specialising in Business Intelligence services (eg. performance reporting, data warehousing and data management). Your responsibilities will include design, development and deployment of a suite of new Rails applications for internal use and for licensing to clients. As the Lead Developer, you will manage the Product Development Strategies, work with members of the company to prioritise features and deliver them to high quality on a predictable schedule. You will use your experience of and gain command of the full extent of the Rails behaviour/test-driven development life- cycle, including deployment to in-house servers and data centres. Once the development is done you will be working with clients to ensure that the benefits of your applications are realised. Your contribution and advocacy of Rails will cause skilled members of the company to contribute to your coding and testing efforts further boosting your output. As a member of the company, you will work in a high-performance, professional services environment, interacting with the company consultants and directly with our clients - Australia''s most recognisable corporate and government entities. Career development opportunities are many, including further expanding the application portfolio and team, or transitioning into our consulting team by acquiring skills in Business Intelligence tools such as Cognos, Business Objects and IBM WebSphere DataStage.
