what is a good virtual hosting service for rails that''s inexpensive but scales up?
What is a good virtual hosting service for rails that starts off inexpensive but can be scaled up? I like the slicehost model, but on the slicehost signup they say we will email you your password, change it right away. This is just security incompetence: they could have me type a password into the https: web form where I type my credit card number. Perhaps it''s not the best security practice, but I''ve been happy with Slice Host so far. Their articles (articles.slicehost.com) are a tremendous resource. -Kyle On Mar 27, 7:54 pm, dsw <daniel.wilker...-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> wrote:> What is a good virtual hosting service for rails that starts off > inexpensive but can be scaled up? > > I like the slicehost model, but on the slicehost signup they say we > will email you your password, change it right away. Use slicehost. They are great. I upgraded one of my slices the other day. It took less than 20 minutes to complete, and I had no noticable downtime.
