Rails - Dec 2007 - Rails and SQL Server 2005, NULL String Settings

Has anyone had problems with SQL Server 2005 inserting a " " character
into html text fields bound to null strings?

What ANSI NULL/Padding settings are people using with rails and SQL
Server?
