Hi, I''m trying to get a word out about the new API documentation site called Noobkit Docs. For the moment it''s just a search and the API tree in a pretty package but I''m working on community features to be released next week. Check out and let me know what you think :) http://www.noobkit.com/ -- Alex --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. a dynamic search box like at http://www.gotapi.com/ would be nice I like the idea of tying in comments, tutorials or more detailed examples with the api, is that what you are thinking? good start, keep up the good work advertise it on the blogsaic at http://www.blogsaic.com/ cheers dion On 5/25/07, alexg <alex.gorbatchev-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> wrote:> > > Hi, > > I''m trying to get a word out about the new API documentation site > called Noobkit Docs. > > For the moment it''s just a search and the API tree in a pretty package > but I''m working on community features to be released next week. > > Check out and let me know what you think :) > > http://www.noobkit.com/ > > > -- Alex > > > > >--~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. I like the fact you are changing it a bit. But this has been done OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. I think you''ll have to come out with something really unique to get this off the ground. It may have been better if you had kept this quiet till you had done such. I also don''t like the idea of including methods without documentation. It''s frustrating to click and se "There is no documentation". Such as when I tried out the example. Hey, anything that helps is great news to me. The lack of adequate teaching tools for rails is a frequent complaint. Thanks for your efforts. I really like it. As far as comments, I''d like to be able to make public and private comments, and a home page that shows me at least my comments. And something searchable on my own comments. I don''t know if that''s where you''re taking this app, but I''ve got a local rails app that I run to keep my notes for things like that, and it really saves me time. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group.
