Hi, I''ve got two roles that experienced rails developers may be interested in. 1. Based near Canary Wharf in London a start-up is looking for a full time experienced ruby on rails developer. A basic entertainment & auction site is complete and they are now in the process of adding innovative user interface and commercial features. Experience in front end design & transactional applications would be highly regarded. This is an opportunity for a developer to take a leadership role, managing the development workload and a couple of offshore resources. 2. A London based record company is seeking a contractor for an initial short term project; estimated at 3 weeks in length. This project involves importing numerous music and video catalogues data into a MySql database. Then allowing authorised 3rd parties to access the data via a REST web service. After the initial project is completed there will be requirements to add additional catalogues into the database on an ongoing basis. Over 160 Catalogues have been added this year & contracts are already signed for a similar number to be added over the next 6 months. You will need to be able to communicate effectively in english & be able to supply references of previous work. Offers from offshore resources will be considered. If you are interested, please get in touch by sending email to matthieu.stone at gmail dot com clearly stating the role you are interested in, your relevant experience, and your desired rate.
