Rails - Aug 2006 - Add html_options to datetime_select?

Why can''t do so something like:

:onfocus => "alert(''hey'');"

For a datetime_select. I tried doing:

:html => {:onfocus => "alert(''hey'')"}

and

:html_options => {:onfocus => "alert(''hey'')"}

any ideas?
