Rails - Nov 2005 - URL>store (what's this tool?)

Hi,
On p. 291 of DT''s book, there''s the following snippet:

URL> store
@params = {:controllers=>"store", :action=>"index"}
...

Is there some spiffy tool to do tests like or is this just his way to
show how it works?
