i chose html from http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/export/ then got a file rails-html-2005-03-22-22-27.zip but when I unzip it -> error :-( why not just give us a simple click then succeed -> got like searchable .chm or .txt file ? like in php manual ... or java manual .. it''s so simple. How I wish to leave PHP soon, but this offline manual is really driving me nuts due to my poor internet connection. I just finished Mr.Curt Hibs from OnLAMP and 4 days, still novice :-) but i also want to say that rails is cool ''n fast, very fast. there''s a PEAR quickform and Smarty in PHP but i found rails is much more than them. BTW, there''ll be a Book about Rails in July, huh? Wow, I''d love to buy/have it. Is it gonna be ''only'' an introduction? using ole example foo etc. Or such a real application? book, like Beginning PHP 5 and MySQL E-Commerce: From Novice to Professional by Mihai Bucica, Cristian Darie? TIA. -- Best Regards, Arie

You can run ''gem_server'' and it will start up webrick on port 8808 with all your rdoc browsable. not precisely what you are requesting but it''s in the same area code. marcel -- Marcel Molina Jr. <marcel-WRrfy3IlpWYdnm+yROfE0A@public.gmane.org>

Advice please..The documentation for the "rails" part doesn''t seem to get built (but it''s just the license & README anyway, IIRC). However, you should be able to access the full documentation of all the individual parts, like ActionPack, ActiveRecord, etc. Hope this helps, Kevin
