Vorbis - Apr 2005 - Ogg Vorbis tags and iTunes plugin

I started ripping my disks into Ogg Vorbis format recently.
When I try to listen to them under iTunes, it all works OK (I know of the
various limitations but they currently don't affect me and I mostly use
GNU/Linux anyway), except that iTunes only finds the song title: no
artist name, no album name :-(

Is that yet another known limitation (I haven't seen it mentioned yet),
or am I maybe doing something wrong?

I've ripped the CDs with Grip using oggenc on Debian testing, and Rhythmbox
reads the artist and album info just fine, so I know they're there.

Actually, it doesn't find the song title either, it just uses the file's
name as the song title, which happened to work on the files I tried.
