R help - Dec 2012 - Convert negativ number to 0

Hallo together,

i have a data.frame like this one.
      A 
1    3
2    -2
3    1

and now i want to convert the negative number to 0.

      A 
1    3
2    0
3    1

How can i do this?

mydf[mydf < 0] <- 0

or

mydf$A[mydf$A < 0] <- 0

depending on what exactly you want.

Note: this is the kind of operation for which there are many possible
equivalent solutions, and many tweaks possible depending on how you
want to deal with NA value, etc.
