Saikat DebRoy is working on a revised "foreign" package (currently in the src/contrib/Devel area on CRAN) that will include the ability to read the SPSS save format. Since we don't use SPSS we don't have easy access to a sample data set and have been using PSPP (see http://pspp.stat.wisc.edu/) to generate test data. It would be more realistic to have a small, redistributable SPSS saved dataset if someone would be willing to contribute same. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-devel mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !) We now have enough data sets for the tests. The new foreign library has been uploaded to CRAN. If you use R CMD check foreign it will run the specific tests in the test directory and check that it can read the different formats. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-devel mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
