[Wine] Problem with wine and Firefox, Thunderbird or Seamonkey...
Hi all, I Use thunderbird and firefox, and sometimes Seamonkey on my job (onto windows 7, 64 bits) and at home (under Ubuntu 11.10 64 bits), so for that, I use Wine, which was very nice until few weeks when I had error message and that doesn't worked more... For this use, I use portable software (from portable apps), and I already post my problem on other forums (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2428361 or http://portableapps.com/node/30460) and it seems that still come to Wine. Does anybody have got this problem? Could help me diagnose my problem, I propose to carry out tests etc. to find where it comes from? Thank you. What Wine version? If it's not the latest development release, upgrade. If it doesn't work in the latest development release, post terminal output. If long, use pastebin and post a link here.

[Wine] Re: Problem with wine and Firefox, Thunderbird or Seamonkey...
Hi On?sime, please start with a new wineprefix (this is basically the ".wine" folder, in which wine stores all its config files and installed programs). You can do this most easily by moving/renaming your .wine folder, an 'empty' .wine folder with default config will automatically be created by the next run of wine, after some tests you can move it back and you will have your original wine config restored. Please run from command line and post terminal output. And while it is true that apps with linux ports won't get high priority when it comes to bugfixes, it is perfectly legitimate to file bugs about them, in the long run they will have to be fixed, too. Biggest problem may be, that if you file a bug for e.g. Firefox 10, at the time the bug gets fixed, Firefox 23 or so might be uptodate version ;-)
