asterisk users - Jan 2012 - Which SpanDSP version to play with Asterisk 10 and T.38/T.30 gatewaying ?

Hi,

Maybe I missed it while checking it, but which spandsp version is
recommended to play with  Asterisk 10 and T.38/T.30 gatewaying ?

I can see both spandsp-0.0.6pre17.tgz and spandsp-0.0.6pre18.tgz here
(http://www.soft-switch.org/downloads/spandsp/) but I couldn't find a
changelog documenting differences between them.
So I prefer to double check ask for recommendations.

Im using the one that comes with Ubuntu Server 10.10 (0.0.6~pre12-1):

And having a sweet time with T.38 gateway. Oneiric already offers latest
pre18.

I use the latest spandsp source from the freeswitch git.
There you have also a changelog documenting the differences. Steve Underwood
commit here the latest changes in spandsp source.

Does this represent the latest developments in SpanDSP code? Or, is this just a
more publicly available location for the source (in progress) as soft-switch.org
only appears to have specific releases?

Oh great. Is this the same Steve Underwood who would not agree to work
with git for his library called SpanDSP?

Who would not even allow me to help him set up a public read-only git
mirror of his internal CVS repository for SpanDSP?

Nice to see he finally uses Git. Though it would be even nicer if it
were a stand-alone repo.

As we all know, all updates are intended to break things, and the first 
rough draft of any package is the greatest perfection it will ever 
achieve. So, the question is how much destruction was caused in the 
update from pre17 to pre18? Probably a lot. I just broke things a bit 
more by posting pre19. This one breaks things by fixing a vulnerability 
in the FAX decompressor.

Steve
