[Samba] mass-adding users with pdbedit or smbpasswd leads to long delay
Hello everyone, Mass-adding users with pdbedit or smbpasswd leads to long delay. The system is fast enough, however, it takes one second per user. Might there be any (hidden) delay in these tools? The command to add the users is: ( echo $2 ; echo $2 ) | /usr/local/samba/bin/smbpasswd -a $1 -s /usr/local/samba/bin/pdbedit -r -u $1 -f "$3 $4" whereas $1 is the logon name, $3 and $4 are the users first and last name. Filed as bug 3081. Thanks Florian
