Hi folks, I've got a few machines that I want to setup winbind on, so they can auth their users against the AD win2k server I have here. On top of that, I want to map their home directories from one to a few others. So, I'll need to make sure their user databases are in sync. No problem, I thought, I'll just nfs map /var/cache/samba and be done with it. Well, as it turns out, while the default build from the samba group is to put the winbind pipe in /tmp, the redhat series likes to stuff it in /var/cache/samba along with the database files. So, what I need to know is this: Is there a way to redirect that without having to recompile? Thanks for any help you can provide. Sean

Never put tdbs on an NFS share. Bad mojo. tdb's require working locking support from the file system for mmap() to work. cheers, jerry - --------------------------------------------------------------------- Alleviating the pain of Windows(tm) ------- http://www.samba.org GnuPG Key ----- http://www.plainjoe.org/gpg_public.asc "If we're adding to the noise, turn off this song"--Switchfoot (2003) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFBFaCRIR7qMdg1EfYRAnQeAKDZKgeVCDkdbxsxmn8jVsF9NDvAoACg5cA4 7GWniKttFpMrA8b9Z9FpX7U=ZbOd -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
