Use SWAT (may need to install it) Tom On Thu, 2004-01-08 at 12:28, Jacques Alexander wrote:> I am a new Linux user, I need to find out how to configured the samba > script running on my Linux machine 1. Try using SWAT. It is the SAMBA Web configuration tool. It is much easier to use. To get to it, open up Mozilla on your Linux box and point to http://localhost:901. You will need to logon as root. Please note that root must be added as a SAMBA user first. You can do this by typing this at the Linux command line: smbpasswd -a root Input the password (it will ask twice for confirmation. If you need any other help, let me know.
