[Samba] Win2000 Domain Controller Interferes with Samba Connection
I've set up Samba on my recent FreeBSD 4.8 install, and I'm having problems connecting with my XP machines. I have done all relevant testing up to this point as described in the documentation, and I can mount the shares on the BSD box from my OS X mac (also a samba implementation), and from the XP boxes when I am logged in locally and not into the domain. However, when I log into the XP boxes with the domain I cannot map the drives, nor can I even use "net view \\servername" or "net use z: //servername/share". They both give me "System Error 5 has occurred. Access is denied." and "System error 1240 has occurred. The account is not authorized to log in from this station." respectively. Mapping the drive through the XP GUI give me a message box stating that "The account is not authorized to log in from this station." as well. I have searched far and wide and found little more information that I have, so I posted to the list. My problem only happens when I log into the domain, as I said. Any help is more than appreciated.
