samba - Apr 2003 - how log the open file names

I would like (temporally) log which files are open in the samba server (I know
that this will generate a big log file)
 
is this posible?

You can try the debug levels -- 'smbcontrol'. Also, there's the
'audit'
functionality you can compile into Samba.

Try the new docs for info on these approaches to catching the info you need.

I found that only log level = 10 give information about open files (and a lot
more!)

I prefer use standard samba version that comes with red hat 8 (and availables
updates) instead of recompiling, how can I know if audit is enable in my
version?
